In “Mardi Gras Dragon,” I took a similar flight of fancy: What if the Mardi Gras-themed floats, parked at the entrance to the Big E had personalities of their own? Would the gentleman who just won a teddy bear jump on the moving dragon float? For this latter piece, my method was to sift through my marker drawings of various people and floats and piece them together into my own makeshift composition, using photos of the buildings as reference for backdrop.
